How do I use text and Video Chat on LoveColors?

It is easy to use.

• See the “Friends online” box at the bottom right of your screen.

• If you have a “Friend” online that you would like to chat with, click on their name.

• You can text a message to them in real time.

• If you would like to audio/video chat, click on the first icon “Start an audio/video call” – which will send a request to chat. (Give it time to process your request.)

• Your “Friend” will need to “accept the request.”

• Once they accept your request, click on “Click here to launch the AV window.”

• Then click on “Allow” to give the system permission to access your webcam.

• If you don’t have a webcam with your computer, you can still use the audio function – as long as you have a microphone.

• To prevent feedback or an echo, adjust the settings on the microphone and speakers – found at the bottom of the video screen.

• Audio/video is best used with a headset to prevent an echo. (You may otherwise hear a delayed version of your voice coming through their computer.)

How long will LoveColors.com be free to all members?

LoveColors.com is free and will be for quite some time while we build our membership. We want to create a great space for quality people to meet other quality people. Even when we start charging, it will be very inexpensive. We intend to keep our membership fees low so that more people can enjoy the services. How can I reactivate my account if it has been deactivated or frozen?

I received a message from another member in my email, but when I logged on to LoveColors, it showed no messages and when I tried to search for the member it said, “No Member Found.” What happened?

I have tried searching for a friend on the site, but cannot find her when I search by her aura colors. Why not?

If your friend is not “searching for” a woman, and you are a woman – then the site will not match you up. Your profiles and preferences must match. If she is “searching for” a man, she will not receive any women as matches. To find your friend, you will need to “Quick Search” by user name. Or she will need to change her preferences to also “search for a woman.”

Do I have access to looking at all of the other people on the site, or can I only see the photos and profiles of people on the site who are sent to me as matches?

These are the ways to search for a member’s profile:

Click on “Search for Matches” then:

Have LoveColors automatically find your most compatible matches.
Edit, change, or expand your preferences on “My Profile” – so that you can receive more or different matches.
Quick Search: Search by a Member’s name. You will need their user name (or at least part of their user name) to be able to search for a member’s profile.
Quick Search: Temporarily change your Search preferences by selecting different choices – different aura colors, age range, their appearance, etc., and the site will send you the members who have those colors, ages, etc who also match your other “preferences.” Quick Search will only TEMPORARILY change your search results.

For example: To search for members who have specific “colors” – go to “Select Colors” then select the colors you’re looking for (IE Blue & Tan, Yellow & Green, etc.). Keep in mind your other previously chosen preferences (age, search area, height, etc) will still be included in your Quick Search unless you change those too. If you want to see more members with those particular colors, you must also broaden or change your other preferences as well.

What does it mean to “Favorite” someone? What is the difference between “Favorite” and “Friend”?

If you find people you like – and would like to remember their profiles - you “Favorite” them so you don’t have to go search for them again. (They will not know you have marked them as “Favorite.”)

Inviting people to be your “Friend” is a way to stay in touch and you can each see when the other is online. (See the Friends Online window on the bottom right corner.) To be “Friends” with someone, the other person must “accept” you as a Friend.

I want to see what I emails I’ve sent, where can I do that?

Click on “Inbox” on your Profile page. You will find all your messages there: All, Unread, and Sent emails. This is also where you can send messages as well.

Profile Questionnaire – Answer questions about you and the qualities you would like in your ideal partner. If you keep your preferences general – selecting “not important” more often than not, you will probably receive more matches. If your preferences are very specific, narrow, or too detailed, you may not receive many or any matches. This depends on whether or not you are open to dating and meeting many potential partners, or if you absolutely only want your perfect person and nothing else. In which case, you may need to be patient for that match.
Colors Questionnaire – Answer questions to discover your personal colors
Upload Photos – to enhance your chances of attracting a partner
Videos – Watch the videos on your personal colors to learn about yourself
Click on “Search for Matches” – to receive profiles of potential partners
• Have LoveColors automatically find your most compatible matches
• Search by favorite colors: To search for members who have specific “Colors” – scroll down in the Quick Search Settings (click on Basic Settings). Find “Select Colors” then fill in the colors you’re looking for.
• Search by Users name inside the “Quick Search” button. You will need their user name (or at least part of their user name) to be able to search for that profile.
Browse profiles of the Matches sent to you – to learn more about those members
Watch the videos on a Member’s colors – to learn more about that person
Contact Members – you can communicate by email or wave at people who interest you

My Profile
This reveals information about you – so other members can learn about you
Allows you to:

Email or Wave at Members
See who has sent you a message or waved at you
See who has viewed you
Create a Friends list – so you can communicate with chosen friends
Create a Favorites list – so you can come back to the people who interest you
Edit Profile – Change or add to your profile, your preferences, your photos, and your email settings
Block Members – so you don’t have to receive messages or waves from certain members (they won’t know you’ve blocked them)

Search for Matches

Shows you the profiles of potential partners
Allows you to send a message or wave to those members
“Quick Search” button – allows you to temporarily change your search settings to find different types of people. It will revert back to your original “preferences” settings (from your questionnaire) after this temporary search. To change your original preferences – go to “Edit Profile” and “Edit Preferences.” This will make your changes permanent – until you edit them again.
“Report” a member who is under age or displaying inappropriate or suspicious behavior.

Love Colors

Learn about each of the different aura colors – read their descriptions and watch the videos.
Learn which color personalities are most compatible, moderately compatible, and least compatible with one another.

There are a variety of videos including:

Videos for each color – explaining the personality, styles, and needs of each color
Videos explaining topics such as auras, life colors, combination colors, in & out of power, and more.

If you watch the videos on your colors and you feel that the descriptions of your colors don’t describe you, feel free to return to the Colors Questionnaire and look at your answers again. Make sure you answered the questions thoroughly and honestly. Make sure your answers reflect the real you – who you believe you truly are deep inside. If not, feel free to change your answers and see if the color results change.

Politeness, courtesy, and common sense are the first steps toward a successful date.
Give plenty of lead time when asking for and planning a date. People have busy schedules.
Confirm the day before.
If offered the choice – let your date know where you would like to go. People want to do the right thing. It takes the pressure off if you are specific about your likes (food, restaurants, etc.).
Dress appropriately for the date. If you go to a nice restaurant or event, dressing up shows you put some extra thought into the date. However, don’t wear clothes that are uncomfortable – that could ruin your enjoyment. Wear clothes that reflect the real you but are still appropriate for the event and location.
It may be easier to choose a familiar place where you know the environment, staff, menu, etc. – a favorite restaurant where you are comfortable. Being able to offer menu ideas and suggestions to your date can be a plus.
Men – be considerate. Opening doors or pulling out your date’s chair may seem old fashioned – but it can make the person feel important and respected.
Wherever you go, be considerate and polite to others – the staff, your server, etc. Your tone and treatment of other individuals is a reflection of you, your relationship style, and your communication skills. Wherever you go on the date, enjoy it – don’t get overly critical or picky. Critical behavior can make your date wonder how critical and picky you could be in a relationship.
Pay attention to your date. Put the phone or text device away.
Avoid meeting at a place where your attention is going to be drawn to a television, a game, or anything or anyone who is going to distract you from your date.
Be a good listener. Show interest in the person. Find something complimentary to say.
Discuss interesting and positive topics. Learning what your date is interested in is an important step to creating a healthy relationship. It’s nice for both people to be able to share thoughts and ideas – that’s part of being in a relationship. Don’t be afraid to share your beliefs and opinions, but you don’t need to start a debate. If you want a second date, it’s best to be diplomatic and respectful of your date’s beliefs and opinions. It shows you are open to learning and growing.
People are attracted to others who are considerate, happy with life, and confident but not boastful.
Be honest and authentic. If you are intent on building a relationship, then honesty is always the best policy. You can do this in a kind and respectful way – not by being blunt or confrontational.
People do not want to hear about any past lover, partner, or spouse; or any negative stories and problems in your life. People who are complainers, needy, or whiny are not very attractive to most people.
If you are enjoying the date, let the person know. Don’t assume he or she knows how you feel.
Thank your date for a day or evening out. Be courteous.
Don’t get too familiar too quickly. Suggesting trips, meeting relatives, and baby names could frighten or intimidate your date. Taking phone photos can also cause concern too early in a relationship.
When communicating online during the dating process, keep it simple, sincere, and short. Email novels sent hourly may say that you have way too much time on your hands.
A second date gives you the opportunity to show you were paying attention on the first date. Choose a place to meet that reflects something you learned about your date. If you were nervous or not as open as you wanted to be on the first date, relax and open up on the second date. Ask and learn and share new things about yourself.
To Google or not to Google: You can learn a great deal about people on Google but remember, it’s only a search engine. There are many facts that can be learned about a person, but it doesn’t usually reveal whether or not the person is caring and compassionate with a strong, moral character. Some might consider it invasive, but most people will use Google. Your date may use it to find out more about you too. Do your research – but also trust your intuition and feelings.
